I'm currently running an AM4 rig with an Nvidia 3070 and a Ryzen 9 3900X, along with 32GB of DDR4 RAM and an 850W power supply. I've got 2TB of NVME storage and a 360ml AIO cooler. I'm looking to upgrade my GPU and CPU without exceeding $800. I'm considering the Radeon 7800XT or 7900XT but I'm also eyeing the 9070, even though that might stretch my budget. For the CPU, I'm thinking about the 5800XT. My goal is to maximize the performance of my AM4 build and keep it viable for gaming over the next 3 to 4 years. Any recommendations or insights would be hugely appreciated!

The 9070 is definitely a bit faster, about 15% more performance. You just have to decide if that extra cost is worth it for you. Honestly, your CPU is still good as it is, so you might want to focus more on the GPU upgrade.

Plus, the 9070 has better AI technology for Frame Scaling (FSR4), which can really help in the long run. With the new 5000/9000 series cards, you’re setting yourself up for the future. I would suggest going for the 9070 paired with the 5800XT for a solid setup!
