Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my CPU, motherboard, and RAM but I'm pretty new to building PCs, so I need some guidance. Right now, I have a Ryzen 5 3400G and a 3050 GPU. I'm thinking about moving to the AM5 platform and possibly getting either the Ryzen 5 7600 or 7600X. I want to make sure my new CPU will handle whatever GPU I decide to upgrade to in the future, ideally one in the $400-$500 range. Are these good CPU options? Should I choose the 7600X over the 7600, or is there another option you'd recommend? Also, will these CPUs prevent bottlenecking when I get a better GPU?

The 7600X and 7600 are both great options! You might also want to consider the Ryzen 9600X since it’s a newer generation and can often be found for a similar price. These CPUs should easily pair with stronger GPUs, like the RTX 5060Ti or RX 9060XT, without bottlenecking you're setup.
You really can't go wrong with the Ryzen 7600 or 7600X; they perform quite similarly, so just choose whichever one is cheaper. The key isn't to worry too much about bottlenecks—every system has one somewhere—but these CPUs shouldn't significantly hold back a good GPU, especially if you're gaming at higher resolutions and settings.
Thanks for the tip! Any suggestions on motherboards? Do I just need to make sure it supports the CPU and RAM I choose?

Great info! If I go with the 9600X, what RAM specs would you suggest? Is 32GB good, and does the speed (6400Mt/s vs 6000) really matter?
