Hey fellow gamers! I've been playing WoW Classic and noticed some lag issues recently. I'm currently running an i7-13700F with a basic pre-built motherboard, but it's been a bit of a nightmare. I also have some decent RAM and recently bought an RTX 5070 about five months ago. What I'd love are some recommendations for a new motherboard, CPU, and additional RAM that would work well with my setup. I don't need anything fancy with RGB lighting; I'm just looking for a compatible option for a newer-gen, overclockable i7 CPU.

You might want to consider going for a 7800X3D or 9800X3D paired with a B650 or B850 motherboard and some 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM. However, honestly, upgrading your CPU might not be that beneficial since your i7-13700F is already quite powerful.
If it were me, I'd suggest removing the power limit on your current motherboard, if you can. Tuning your RAM would help a lot too; WoW really benefits from fast and tight RAM. But since you're mainly focused on WoW Classic, an X3D chip would be a solid investment. Even a 7600X3D could vastly improve your performance.

True, but if you're sticking with WoW Classic, you could also opt for a 7700X or even a 7600X—they’re great options and should work just fine.
