I have an i5 13600kf processor, an RTX 4070ti graphics card, and 32GB of DDR4 3600MHz CL16 RAM. After updating the BIOS recently, I've noticed that my RAM usage never goes over 12GB, even when I'm gaming, and it's causing some stutters and audio lag. I've already enabled XMP for better performance, but Windows acknowledges the full 32GB RAM without actually utilizing it. I've reset the BIOS, reseated the RAM sticks, and tried different slots, but nothing seems to help. Can anyone suggest what the issue might be or how to fix it?

If your RAM isn't showing as utilized, it’s possible your OS is performing optimally without needing all 32GB. Keep in mind, if you hit 100% usage, that’s when you'll notice performance issues. But until then, no need to worry!
You only use as much RAM as your applications require at any given time. The rest is reserved as cached or standby memory, which can be freed up when needed. So, if your system isn’t maxing out your RAM, it's doing its job efficiently!
Windows typically allocates memory based on need. If you're only seeing 12GB in use, it likely means that your current applications and processes simply aren't demanding more. The stuttering might be related to outdated drivers, so be sure to download the latest chipset and audio drivers from your motherboard's website. Don't forget to check if XMP is configured correctly too!
Also, make sure the RAM sticks are in the correct slots. They should be in the second and fourth slots counting from the CPU to ensure proper stability.

Exactly! Many users panicked about low RAM usage when, in reality, it’s just the system managing resources well.
