Hey everyone! I'm totally new to PCs—I've never even owned a laptop before! A buddy sold me his old rig with some decent specs: an AMD Ryzen 9 5900x CPU, a Gigabyte B550 Aorus Pro motherboard, and an RTX 3080TI GPU. I play on a 240Hz monitor, but I'm only getting around 120 FPS on most games and even lower for heavier titles. I've been eyeing the RTX 4090 and 5080 but I'm unsure if they'll fit in my current setup or if I'll need to make other upgrades. Plus, as someone who's never swapped a GPU before, how difficult is the process?

First off, what's your budget for the upgrade? And where are you located? Also, it’s important to check your PSU—I hope it's at least ATX 3.0! That could affect your options.
Budget’s flexible since I'm planning to upgrade in a few months. Not sure how to check the PSU, though—does that refer to the ATX 3.0 you mentioned?
