Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade to an AM5 setup, and I have a few questions since I'm still a bit of a newbie. I found an awesome Newegg combo deal with the 9800x3d, but it looks like I'll need a new power supply, so I added a V850 to my build list. Also, do I need to upgrade my CPU cooler for this setup? I'd really appreciate any advice you can offer. Thanks for all the help!

Honestly, unless you have specific needs (and you'll know if you do), I'd recommend saving some money and going for a B650 motherboard instead. It will perform just as well for gaming but avoid Asrock motherboards with the 9080x3d; there have been cases of them burning out. If you're looking to upgrade your setup, put that extra cash towards a better GPU later on. Also, I suggest replacing your CPU cooler. The one you mentioned is fine, but it's not really suitable for high-end CPUs. Consider getting something like the Peerless Assassin or Phantom Spirit for better cooling!
So, I don't have a real reason for choosing that motherboard; I just saw a good deal. Are there any other components you think could benefit me instead? I'm planning to add a new power supply and CPU cooler too!
You don't have to upgrade your CPU cooler if you already have one, but if you're only starting out, I'd suggest getting a bigger cooler for better performance and thermal management. Check out this ID-Cooling Frost A620 Pro; it's a solid option!
Thank you!!!

Thank you!!
