I recently upgraded my CPU from a Ryzen 5 1600 to a Ryzen 5 5600, using an Asrock A320m-HVD R.4 motherboard and an RTX 3050 graphics card. After the upgrade, I'm facing a black screen issue and can't even access the BIOS. I made sure to update the BIOS to the latest version before the upgrade, and I've tried reverting back to the old CPU, but the problem persists. The system powers on, the fans are running, but the power button only works with the old CPU. The lights seem a bit glitchy with the new one. I've reseated the RAM and tried restarting multiple times. Is it possible that I fried something? Can anyone help me troubleshoot this?

It sounds like you might need to reset the CMOS to get your new CPU recognized. Even though you updated the BIOS, sometimes a reset after a CPU swap can solve these issues. If you try that, remember to update the BIOS again after resetting if it works!
I updated the BIOS beforehand, but I might try the reset anyway. Thanks!
