Hey everyone! I'm curious about the use of Chromecast in a corporate setting. Has anyone here successfully used Chromecast or Google TVs for casting in the workplace? I'm considering getting three Google TVs for our office, but I'm unsure if I need a corporate Google account for them to work. Also, has anyone experienced lags or network issues when using Google TV for casting? I know there are alternatives like Miracast, but that option isn't available for us. Would love to hear about your experiences!

I've noticed that more companies are deploying Airtame products these days. They provide a more business-focused solution compared to Chromecast, and it's a much better fit for corporate needs.
If you've got concerns about your IT team's approval of Chromecasts, it might be worth asking why they said no to Miracast before considering Chromecast. There must be valid reasons behind their decision.
Cost and integration with existing Google TVs might be key factors here. They see Chromecast as a cheaper option but I'm not sure it'll meet business needs.
Considering other options, we’ve found success with Barco ClickShare. When you preload the ClickShare app on company devices, it's super user-friendly, and they also come with a dongle for easy connectivity.
We've issued around 100 Chromecasts in a moderator mode, and they work fine. However, Airtames perform significantly better. If Gmail isn't used at your workplace, stick with something else. Plus, Google Admin can help with the moderator mode, but keeping everything updated can be a pain.
Honestly, I wouldn't recommend using Chromecasts in a corporate environment. There are too many issues with them, and casting from a PC can be a hassle. Both devices need to be on the same network, and I worry about someone accidentally casting to the wrong screen and disrupting a meeting. We switched to Yealink devices with dedicated dongles, which are much better suited for this.
I actually have a different take. I find casting to a Chromecast pretty straightforward. We have over 50 in our office, and we rarely get complaints!

Absolutely! Airtame's advantage lies in its design for professional use. It's meant for sharing screens and not just for streaming, making it a suitable choice.
