I'm currently using a Ryzen 5 5600X paired with a 3060 Ti for gaming at 1080p. I've been eyeing the Ryzen 7 5700X3D, but it's either out of stock or ridiculously overpriced. I'm considering an upgrade to AM5 instead. Can anyone suggest an AM5 CPU that would match or even outperform the 5700X3D?

If gaming is your main focus, the 7800X3D offers fantastic value. Keep an eye out for the 7600X3D if you can find it, but it’s mostly available at places like Microcenter.
The Ryzen 7600X is a good alternative; it’s pretty close in performance to the 5700X3D. If you can splurge a bit, the 7800X3D or even any of the upcoming 9000 series CPUs will definitely outperform it.
I had no idea the 7600X3D existed until a few minutes ago; can’t believe I missed that!
