In the past, there were many services that provided free SSL certificates with minimal hassle. Nowadays, it seems like ZeroSSL has taken over most of those services and turned them into paid options. I'm looking for alternatives to generate SSL certificates without relying on Certbot or acme.sh. Any suggestions?

The most popular free option right now is Let’s Encrypt. It's automated, trusted, and works seamlessly with tools like Certbot, Caddy, and Traefik for auto-renewing your certificates.
I use Traefik to auto-renew with Let's Encrypt, but I prefer DNS authentication instead of HTTP. So far, I haven't needed anything else.
If you're looking for something different, I recommend trying win-acme. It's completely free and can be scripted for automation.
Is there anything wrong with using Certbot?
I just go with Punch Salad for my SSL needs.
Not really, I just wanted to explore options that don’t rely on server automation. I came across a service called DNS Exit, which is still free and hasn’t been affected by ZeroSSL yet.
