I'm looking to replace the heat sink on my Zotac 3060 Ti because it gets really hot, and I want to avoid cranking up the GPU fan noise. I've been searching for a larger heat sink that fits the 54mm x 54mm mounting holes, but I haven't had any luck finding a triple fan option that works. Alternatively, I've considered using an AIO cooler and covering the VRAM and other components with copper for better air cooling. Also, I noticed something unusual when I bought the GPU; it had some weird white residue on the radiator that I couldn't scrub off, which might be affecting the temps. I'm hitting around 90°C despite having replaced the thermal pads and paste. Any suggestions?

Honestly, if your GPU is overheating, starting with some fresh thermal paste was a good move. However, if the temps are still soaring, it might be the fans themselves that need checking—if they're old and struggling, they could definitely be a problem.
I think replacing the cooler entirely might not be the way to go. Focus on swapping out the thermal pads and the paste with better quality ones. You might also want to check if your current cooler’s fans are functioning optimally first.
Just updated my original post to clarify some points!

I did replace the thermal paste, but the temperatures are still high. I realized I didn’t mention some important details!
