I'm looking for hosting solutions for my hobby project that involves a web application built with Python. Since this is a personal project, cost is really important to me. I'm used to the more affordable options in the JavaScript ecosystem, but I haven't explored what's available for Python projects. What are some hosting options that I should consider?

You might want to check out PythonAnywhere; they have a free tier that could work for your needs. If you're open to cloud services, AWS EC2 offers a free tier for the first year, but be prepared for some pretty basic specs. Another option is Hetzner, which has Virtual Machines starting around 3.5 to 5 euros, depending on whether you want them in Germany or the USA. I've been using Hetzner for a small project and it works great!
I can vouch for Hetzner, it works well for hobby projects!
Have you heard about Fly.dev? It's pretty cool and easy to use for small projects. You might find it fits your needs well!
First time hearing about Fly.dev. Thanks for the tip!
Don't forget about Vercel! They have a hobby tier that’s quite decent for hosting. I initially thought they only catered to the JavaScript community, but I found out they support Python too!
Good to know! I thought Vercel was just for JS projects.

Thanks! I like those VM options you mentioned!
