I'm considering making the switch to Linux and could really use some guidance on finding equivalent applications to the ones I regularly use on Windows. Specifically, I'm looking for programs that can replace the following:
- Equalizer APO (with Peace APO), which I use for headphone audio adjustments. I need a Linux-friendly alternative since my headphones sound overly bright without it.
- Logitech G HUB
- Coolsoft MIDI Mapper and VirtualMIDISynth
- RivaTuner
- foobar2000 or MusicBee
- VLC media player
- Vivaldi browser (if Firefox works, I can settle for that)
- A way to run older games that might not have Linux ports, and I've heard Wine can help with that. I could provide a list of my Steam and GOG games if necessary.

You’re in luck! VLC and Vivaldi both work great on Linux, I use them daily. For your headphones, you might want to look into using a live boot environment to see how it handles your audio setup. That way, you can get a feel for it without fully committing yet.

I totally agree! Plus, you can run Steam natively on Linux, and for GOG, check out Heroic or Lutris; they’re pretty handy for that.
