I'm working in IT for a building management services company, and it's crucial for our customers to receive texts about urgent issues like boiler emergencies. We've traditionally used vtext and tmomail for our notifications, but those services have become increasingly unreliable over the past few years. I'm looking for a cost-effective replacement that ensures our messages get through consistently.

Have you considered whether your customers are open to using an app like Pagerduty for notifications, or is SMS absolutely necessary? A lot of places are facing complications with A2P SMS, especially for automated messages—it's becoming quite a hassle in many regions.

I totally get that. Since it's a BMS service, I doubt they'd want to use Pagerduty when they can rely on a simple SMS that doesn't require extra apps. I mean, from their end, it's just supposed to work, right?
