We're looking to replace our aging Dell storage array next year as it's hitting end of life. We've had a rough experience with Dell's support—it's been disappointing enough to hinder major projects because of their slow response times. For example, we once waited three days for a replacement HDD, despite having a four-hour support agreement. I'm exploring other solutions and would love to hear experiences from others regarding their support quality and reliability. I've noticed HPE is quite common, and Pure Storage seems to come up often too. What are some good alternatives?

It ultimately comes down to your budget. Siemens FlashSystems pack a punch for the price and have some good deals. I'd also suggest looking into Pure if you're ready to spend a bit more for top-notch performance and features.
Nimble has been solid for us. Their support is decent, but we've had some issues with the new Alletra setup. The OS is the same, so once you get through the installation, it works well, but I had to bring in HPE support for several setups due to installation failures.
I agree with you on that; had a few hiccups too during the setup.
Different needs, different budgets. PureStorage and Nimble are great for performance but can get pricey. We ended up going with Lenovo because of their aggressive pricing—can't say much about support yet since we haven't had to use it much.
Nice! Lenovo is often overlooked, but they do offer some impressive options.
Sounds like a smart move! How's the performance so far?
If you're open to an Open Source option, TrueNAS can be a fantastic choice. I use it at various locations, plus my homelab. Can't vouch for their enterprise support since I've never used it, but the system itself works great.
We've been using IBM FlashSystems, and they're fantastic. Very competitively priced and reliable. Some command-line tweaks are needed, but nothing too crazy—just a solid performer all around. My experience with their support was typical, not great but not terrible either.

That's interesting! I had similar thoughts about Nimble. Support can be tricky, huh?
