I'm looking for some professional-quality painting or art programs that run on Linux. They don't necessarily have to be free or open-source. I'm an artist used to Photoshop for most of my work, and I'm currently exploring Clip Studio. However, I'm trying to move away from Photoshop for various reasons. I want to know if there are powerful alternatives available on Linux that can match Photoshop and its competitors. I've heard of Krita, but I'm unsure if it's on par with the Windows-exclusive programs. Any insights would be appreciated!

I think it's worth trying out Krita, GIMP, Inkscape, and Scribus to see what fits your workflow best. GIMP has been my go-to for years, but I hear some people prefer Krita. It all depends on personal preference!
If you do any vector graphic work, Inkscape is definitely worth checking out! It's powerful and could suit your needs well.
Krita is highly regarded and can hold its own against Windows-only options! A lot of artists use it on Windows as well. You might want to give it a try and see how it measures up for your style.
