Hey everyone! I'm looking for some advice regarding the right RAM to pair with my new Ryzen 7 9800x3D and RTX 5070 Ti. I've heard that it's recommended to use only two sticks of RAM instead of four with this CPU. Also, there's a lot of talk about not exceeding DDR5 6000 speed. Can anyone explain why that is? Does this mean that the G.Skill 64GB DDR5 6000 kit is my best option, or are there alternatives that might be better?

Check out this tuning guide I found—it can really help optimize your RAM settings! [Tuning Guide](https://youtu.be/dlYxmRcdLVw?si=-fJtZc3QjrkkTP2f)
I think that price for a 64GB kit is a bit high. You can find reputable brands for about $400 instead of $600. The key is finding that balance between speed and stability; for AM5 systems like yours, 6000 CL30 really does hit the mark performance-wise without going overboard.
It's true that the Ryzen 7 9800x3D tends to perform better with just two sticks of RAM due to the way AMD's memory controller works. When you go for four sticks, you often sacrifice speed for stability. The DDR5 6000 speed is considered the sweet spot because while you can technically push higher speeds like 6400 or more, the performance gains are minimal and you might run into stability issues. Plus, X3D CPUs are designed to optimize performance without needing super-fast RAM, so sticking to 6000 MHz is usually your best bet for both power and price.
You can definitely use four sticks, but be cautious with speeds. While you might want to go for 6000 MT/s, remember that higher speeds can lead to instability. It’s tied to the Infinity Fabric in AMD CPUs, which runs better closer to 6000 MT/s. And while faster RAM exists, you might not see significant improvements. Regarding longevity, be careful about running RAM at high voltages for extended periods—it's good that you're thinking long-term.

Thanks for the link! I'll definitely give that a watch.
