What are the most affordable cloud options for Kubernetes?

I've been experimenting with Minikube and Kind on my laptop, but it's really slow and struggles with performance. As I'm new to Kubernetes and looking to learn how to effectively manage and operate it, I'm exploring cloud options. I've come across services like Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), AWS Kubernetes, and Vultr, but they all come with costs. Are there any free or cheaper alternatives available for running Kubernetes in the cloud, even if they have reduced features?

If you're open to free trials, signing up for GCP, AWS, or Azure gives you credits. For example, GCP offers $300 over 3 months, AWS has $100 valid for 6 months, and Azure provides $200 for 1 month. You can use these credits for their Kubernetes services like GKE, EKS, or AKS!

You should really check out Oracle Cloud's free tier! They offer free Kubernetes clusters with decent resources and no requirement for a credit card. It's perfect for learning, but keep in mind that performance might not be top-notch.

I know you want cloud solutions, but have you thought about getting a cheap laptop? With the 7th gen Intel CPUs now stuck on older versions of Windows, you might snag a good deal. Plus, NUCs or mini PCs can also be budget-friendly options that allow you to run Kubernetes locally.
