I'm tired of the hassle of downloading vendor zip files just to get AWS or Azure icons for my diagrams. I've tried a few options, like Simple Icons, which has a ton of brand logos but only in monochrome, and svgl, which has some nice color variations but is mostly brand-focused. I recently discovered thesvg.org, which offers a searchable interface for logos from all three major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP), making it easier to compare services. I'm curious, what do you all use for cloud architecture icons?

I often use lucide.dev/icons for my icon needs. They have some good choices! Your list covers most of the popular ones, though.
Cloudcraft really shines for actual architecture diagrams instead of just randomly tossing icons into a presentation. The way it’s built, you don’t have to dig through countless folders. And yeah, using thesvg.org can save you loads of time instead of going through those old zip files!
Here are some links to the tools I find useful:
- simpleicons.org
- svgl.app
- thesvg.org
All of them are free and open source, so definitely worth checking out!
For anything that I need to present, I usually go with Cloudcraft. It’s really designed for architecture diagrams, so the icons are nicely pre-arranged and save me from the tedious folder search with AWS zip files. But if I just need some basic icons, I put up with the old zip workflow like everyone else.
