What CPU should I consider upgrading to?

Hey everyone! I'm currently running a Ryzen 5 5600G with an RTX 3060 12GB, and it's been working pretty well for 1080p gaming on high settings. However, I'm starting to worry that my CPU might start bottlenecking performance in more demanding games. I have a few specs to share: I'm using an MS-Challenger A520M-K motherboard and a 550W power supply. I know my setup isn't the most advanced, and it might be wise to upgrade everything eventually, but for now, I'm just looking to upgrade the CPU. I'd love any suggestions you have regarding compatible CPUs that could boost my performance!

Before making any decisions, make sure you're actually experiencing a CPU bottleneck. Check your GPU usage; if it stays below 100%, then there might not be as much of a bottleneck as you think. If you do want to upgrade, the biggest socket upgrade you can do for your CPU is looking into the Ryzen 5800X3D or 5700X3D, but they can be tough to find and quite pricey these days. Also, keep in mind that your A520M motherboard isn’t really designed for higher-end CPUs, so if you go this route, you might not see a significant performance boost. Otherwise, if you're looking for newer options, you might need to invest in a full CPU, motherboard, and RAM upgrade for around $500.

I checked my usage, and for most games like Elden Ring, my GPU is sitting around 70-80%. I do worry about heavier games like Cyberpunk causing bottlenecks though. After hearing all this, I might just hold off on the CPU upgrade and save up for a whole new motherboard and CPU. Do you think I would notice a real improvement with the 5800X3D or 5700X3D?
