I'm putting together a gaming PC that includes a Radeon RX 9070XT, and I'm looking for some recommendations for a good CPU that won't break the bank. I primarily play competitive FPS games like CS2, Valorant, Apex, and PUBG, but I also want to enjoy some AAA titles at 2K, such as God of War, The Last of Us, and Spider-Man. I need a processor that won't bottleneck the GPU while being budget-friendly.

If you're on a tight budget, the Ryzen 7800X3D is a solid choice. It's recommended by quite a few people and offers great performance for the price. The 9800X3D is another option if you're willing to spend a bit more for extra performance.

I've seen a lot of people mentioning the 7800X3D too. How does it compare in terms of price and performance with the 7700X?

If you're really aiming for a good value CPU, Hardware Unboxed recommends the Intel i5-8400F as a minimum, and you could move up to the i5-7500F for better performance. I'm currently using the i5-7600 and it's been decent.

For around $350, the Ryzen 7 7800X3D is your best bang for your buck, especially with CPU-intensive games. If you're looking for top-tier performance, go for the Ryzen 7 9800X3D which usually runs about $430-$480. You might catch some good deals around Black Friday too!

Is the $150 difference worth it between the 7800X3D and the 7700X? I'm considering the combo prices.

What's your exact budget? The Ryzen 7800X3D tends to be the best option in the $350 range. But for overall gaming performance, nothing beats value like the Ryzen 9800X3D! Just be sure to shop around for prices before you buy.
