I was gaming yesterday when my computer crashed. I've been dealing with crashes for a while, so it seemed normal until I rebooted and found that my GPU was completely gone. I checked the device manager, even the hidden devices, but nothing shows up. I also checked the BIOS and it's like my AMD RX 580 doesn't exist anymore, and instead, I'm only seeing my Intel HD Graphics 4600.
Is it possible that my GPU is just too old and finally stopped working? Just to note, it was plugged into the HDMI port when the crash happened, and now that port seems to be non-functional too; only the motherboard port is working.

It sounds like your GPU might have given up the ghost. First off, have you tried reinstalling all the drivers? Using the AMD Cleanup Utility to remove all existing AMD drivers could help before you reinstall the latest ones. It might be worth a shot!
Just a heads up, the AMD software might not recognize the GPU if it’s totally fried, so don’t get discouraged if it says you don’t have it anymore.

Also, if you feel comfortable, open up your computer case, take the GPU out, and clean the PCI-E pins with an eraser. After that, use a tissue to wipe them down gently. If it still doesn’t work after that, it might be time to admit your GPU is dead.
