What CPU Should I Get to Avoid Bottlenecking with a 4060?

I'm looking to build a PC mainly for playing Oblivion Remastered and targeting at least 70 fps. I'm considering an AMD 7700X CPU with a 4060 GPU. Would this setup cause a bottleneck? I also have another option: AMD Radeon 7700 XT with an AMD Ryzen 5 7600. Any thoughts on the best combo for performance?

It's pretty hard to bottleneck a 4060 since it's not the most powerful GPU out there. You could even use a Ryzen 3600, and it would still work fine.

Honestly, don't stress too much about bottlenecks. Most modern CPUs, including the 7700X, won't restrict performance. At lower resolutions, like 1080p, you might see some bottlenecking, but it really depends on the game you play. I would suggest considering if you genuinely need all those cores. Something like the Ryzen 5 7500F could save you some cash, allowing you to get a better GPU if needed.

I totally agree! A good GPU will likely give you better returns for your money than overthinking CPU specs.
