What CPU Should I Get to Pair With a 5060 Ti Without Bottlenecking?

I'm currently using an AMD Radeon RX 580 8GB along with an AMD Ryzen 5 2600. I'm planning to upgrade to a 5060 Ti 16GB and I'm concerned that my current CPU might bottleneck the new GPU. Can anyone recommend a good CPU that won't break the bank? Thanks in advance!

What’s your budget for the CPU? Just curious to know if you’re looking for specific price ranges.

I'm in the UK and I’d say around £200 max.

You should consider the Ryzen 5 5600X; it should pair nicely with the 5060 Ti since its performance is similar to a 7700XT. It should also work with your current motherboard without needing an upgrade. Just keep in mind, you're running on a PCIe 3.0 board, which might limit your performance a bit with the new GPU. You might see more drops than expected with an 8x 5.0 card, so upgrading may be beneficial in the long run.

Honestly, any newer CPU should work fine. Just be cautious not to stick with slower ones for the RTX 5060 Ti.

The Ryzen 5 7600X should be sufficient for your setup.

If you're looking for the best option compatible with your AM4 motherboard, the Ryzen 7 5700X3D would be ideal, although it's discontinued and can be hard to find at a decent price. A Ryzen 5 5600 is also a solid choice if you're on a budget.

You might also consider the Ryzen 7 5700X3D or the 5600; both are solid options depending on what you can find available.
