I'm looking for advice on what CPU to pair with my new 9070 XT graphics card. Is it possible to use a Ryzen 5 5700X, or will I have to upgrade my motherboard to support the 5700X3D or 5800X3D? I'm hesitant about moving to AM5 since I'll already be purchasing a new CPU, GPU, power supply, and an ultrawide 1440p monitor. Also, do I need to upgrade my cooler for the 5700X? Here's my current build: B450M S2H GIGABYTE motherboard with 32 GB DDR4 RAM, a Ryzen 5 5500 CPU, an RTX 3050 8GB graphics card, and a 500W 80 PLUS BRONZE power supply. I currently have a DeepCool Gammaxx 400 V2 Blue cooler.

If you're looking at a 5700X, remember it's similar in TDP to your current Ryzen 5 5500. You could stick with your motherboard, but just keep in mind cooling might need a minor adjustment depending on how much heat the 5700X generates compared to your current setup. Just don't overthink the bottlenecking; focus on the upgrades first and see how things feel afterward!
You should definitely look at upgrading that power supply; it’s the backbone of your setup. Starting with the PSU, GPU, and monitor sounds like a solid plan. I upgraded my own rig with a new PSU and a 9070 XT while running an i5-10400, which is a similar performance tier to the Ryzen 5 3600, and everything is running smoothly. Don’t stress too much about bottlenecks; they’re not as critical as some make them out to be. Plus, you might want to save up for the AM5 upgrade later on if that's a goal for you.

That makes sense! Hardware prices are wild in my country too, so I'm going to focus on the PSU and GPU first.
