Why isn’t my new HDD showing up in Windows?

I just installed a new HDD, and it shows up fine in the BIOS, but I can't find it anywhere in Windows—only my NVMe SSD is visible. I've attempted to format it, but it doesn't appear in Disk Management either. I even tried using CMD and the diskpart tool, and it still isn't showing up. Has anyone experienced this?

Just a heads up, it's pretty common for motherboards to disable certain SATA ports when you have an NVMe SSD installed. Make sure to check your motherboard manual to see if that's the case. Try connecting your HDD to a different SATA port!

Have you checked if it shows up in Disk Management? Sometimes you might need to initialize and format the drive before it can be used in Windows.
