Hey everyone, I'm having a bit of trouble understanding the LED lights on my Asus Prime B450M-A motherboard. I see two lights that are currently active. One is a strip LED located at the back behind the GPU slot, which used to pulse when my PC was off but now only pulses when I turn the PC on. The other light, which is a single LED right behind the GPU slot, didn't seem to be on before, but now it's solid until I power on my PC, then it starts pulsing. This behavior happens regardless of whether my GPU is installed or not. After resetting the motherboard and powering it off, both lights remain pulsing. I'm also dealing with a no signal issue on my monitor; it recognizes when the cable is plugged in or not, but it says no signal. Yesterday when I turned on my PC, everything was fine until I suddenly lost the signal. I even tried my old GPU, which worked for a bit before also dropping the signal. Any ideas what these LED indicators mean?

One possibility is a power issue. Make sure your PSU cables are firmly connected, especially the ones for the GPU. If everything seems okay with the connections, it might be worth testing your components individually to rule out any faulty parts. Have you tried starting up the PC with just one stick of RAM or without the GPU to see if you can get any signs of life?
The LEDs on your motherboard typically indicate power and error status. When a light is solid, it might signal that the motherboard is powered but not fully operational. Since you’re not getting a signal on your monitor, it sounds like there’s an issue, possibly with the GPU or the connection. Try reseating your RAM and checking the GPU connection again. Also, see if there are any error codes in the manual, though it seems you’ve had a tough time accessing that.
Yeah, those lights can be confusing sometimes. If the strip LED is solid, it might signal that something is either wrong with the GPU or maybe an issue with the motherboard itself. Maybe try booting without the GPU to see if you get any onboard video output.
I haven't tried that yet! I'll give it a shot and see what happens.
