Hey everyone! I'm currently a third-year student working towards my Bachelor's in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE). My team of four and I are looking for some unique project ideas that really stand out and catch the eye. We've got experience with the MERN stack, C, C++, Java, and Python from our classes, as well as some theoretical knowledge in AI. We're hoping to create something impressive, but so far, we've only found generic suggestions online. Any creative ideas or directions would be greatly appreciated!

I did my senior project on photogrammetry, which I found super engaging! It’s key to pick a topic that sparks everyone's interest. Think about leveraging your skills together, and maybe even explore something related to computer graphics if that excites you. Working on a project that feels meaningful can make the experience a lot more rewarding!
You mentioned needing something flashy, but have you thought about providing some details on what you’re looking for? What’s your timeline, and what kind of projects are you considering? This information can really help narrow it down. You could be looking for a web app, a mobile app, or something completely different!
We need to finish the project in three months, and we have to decide what we're doing by mid-February 2026. We've considered ideas like a virtual garden that uses AI to show plant growth, an attendance management system, or a virtual anatomy project covering animals. Not sure what’s feasible in that time frame, though!
The possibilities are endless! Have a group chat to see what you're all passionate about, as working on something that doesn’t interest you will feel like a chore. You could try recreating an existing application—focus on core features and make it visually appealing with CSS. If you want to incorporate AI, consider something like building a ChatGPT-style app using an available model.
Why not brainstorm problems you or people you know face? A web application that addresses a real issue will not only be interesting but can also benefit others. I had a client who needed a custom workflow app during my third year, and it turned out to be a fulfilling experience!
Yeah, I get that. My team hasn’t encountered any major real-world problems yet, but I’ll definitely ask them what issues they think we should tackle!

That's cool! Did you have a major focus on computer graphics then? If it’s open source, I'd love to learn more about it!
