I'm putting together a new PC and have made some progress on the parts list, which you can check out here: [https://pcpartpicker.com/list/gbbmzP]. Now, I need some advice on which GPU to go with. I'm aiming for something that can run Battlefield 6 comfortably—no need for ultra settings, just something visually nice without hiccups. I also play some older games, so I want to keep the price around $2,000, but I don't want to be stuck with outdated tech in a few years. My current PC is around 13 years old and it's starting to struggle, even with games like Baldur's Gate 3, so I would love any suggestions!

You’ve got a solid setup! If you can, aim for the 5070 GPU; it’s very capable. If that’s out of your budget, try the 7800XT. Just make sure to get at least an 850W PSU to keep everything running smoothly.
If you're looking for value, the AMD RX 9060XT 16GB for about $370 is a good call. Alternatively, the 5060TI 16GB at $470 is also solid. The 9070 16GB will definitely fit your budget and give you more power for modern titles!
Honestly, I wouldn't go for the RTX 3060 at $299—it's just not worth it for a four-year-old GPU. You might want to check out the RX 9060 XT instead; it's around $350 and gives you much better performance. I'd also consider downgrading to a cheaper CPU and investing more in a higher-end GPU. Something like a 9600X paired with an RX 9070 would be a great combo! Also, swap that overpriced AIO cooler for a Thermalright Phantom Spirit—it’s way more affordable and still keeps things cool. That motherboard’s pretty pricey for a B650; B850s are around the same price and could save you some cash too.
I just did a build with a 9600X and 9070 for my brother, and it’s performing great! That’s definitely a sweet spot for price and performance.
I suggest switching to an air cooler like the Peerless Assassin or the Phantom Spirit for better value. Also, a B850 motherboard will save you some cash—just avoid ASUS or ASRock. If you’re considering RAM, the Team Creator Expert CL30 6000 (16x2) is cheaper and faster than what you’ve listed. And honestly, don’t get the 3060; the 9060XT or the 9070 would be a smarter choice for today’s standards.
But why go air cooled instead of liquid? Isn’t it better? Also, would 32GB of RAM be enough, or should I push for 64?
If you haven't purchased anything yet, I recommend holding off on the Windows key and getting it later to save some money for hardware now. A 9070XT will give you an awesome 1440p ultra experience in almost any game. There are definitely areas to save costs in this build.
Why should I wait on the OS key, though? Is there a specific reason?
Any specific brands you recommend for the GPU? I’ve heard good things about Gigabyte, MSI, and ASUS, but they vary in price even for the 5070.
