We're currently using Microsoft 365 Business Premium licenses for our users, and I'm aware that our free grant is coming to an end. However, I'm unsure how to find out which of our approximately 50 users have been assigned these 'free' licenses. My assumption is that when our grant program ends next month, our paid license count will automatically increase by 10 users—is that correct? I'm just curious why Microsoft licensing seems so complicated in situations like this.

From what I've seen, the donated licenses usually have 'Donation' noted in the product name. If you can't find that, it might be that those licenses were never active in your account to begin with. It's tough to keep track!
I understand your concern. Make sure to check with your licensing partner. They might need to manually adjust your licenses and make sure everything's covered.
Typically, donated licenses aren't tied to individual users; they just contribute to your overall license pool. If you don't have enough paid licenses by the time your grant ends, you'll need to buy more to cover all your users. Make sure to plan for that to avoid any downtime!

That's interesting. I actually don’t see a 'Donation' label in my Subscriptions either. I'm really worried that once the grant ends, our existing Business Premium licenses will just disappear without any notice instead of Microsoft billing us directly. I trust them enough to take my payments easily, but past experiences make me skeptical.
