What Internet Options Do I Have if I Can’t Get Fiber?

Hey everyone! I'm currently dealing with really slow internet speeds—like it takes about 15 minutes to download 1GB. I've checked with my house manager, and it turns out there's no option for fiber internet here. Right now, I'm just using mobile data with an Ethernet connection. I'm looking for suggestions on what I can get to improve my internet speed. Cost isn't an issue for me, but I really want to avoid fiber options. Any recommendations would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

If you're looking for an alternative, consider getting a cellular home internet plan. My setup is with a Jextream 5G provider, and I'm getting solid speeds of around 100-200 Mbps without data caps. Just avoid the main T-Mobile brand, their service seems to lag behind their other properties.

Starlink might be a good alternative if you're not bound to traditional ISPs. It's a satellite internet service, so it can provide decent speeds in many areas where other internet types fail! Just keep in mind, there could be some latency involved depending on your location.

Make sure to check with local ISPs to find out what is available in your area. Internet speeds depend on your location, and if you're still on DSL, that could be your bottleneck. Some places are now offering cellular modems from providers like Verizon or T-Mobile, which might work for you. Just keep in mind they can be congested at peak times, so it's worth checking out if that's an option for you.

Thanks for the tip! I’ll look into whether any cellular services are available for me.
