What kind of remote should I get for my TV and Blu-ray player?

I'm looking for a remote for my son to use with our TV and Blu-ray player. The TV is a "Proscan" and the Blu-ray player is a "Samsung." The TV was a gift from a family member who bought it while incarcerated, and I found the Blu-ray player while cleaning the house. Since he doesn't have a remote for either device, can anyone recommend a good remote to buy online?

A universal remote should work for both the Proscan TV and Samsung Blu-ray player. Just check the model numbers on the products' websites to ensure compatibility. Most universals will cover those brands!

Definitely go for a universal remote! They usually come with instructions for programming it to the specific models. It’s the easiest solution for multiple devices!

Thanks for the tip! I'll look into getting one of those.

If you have an Android phone with an IR blaster, you could actually use that as a remote instead of buying something new! Just download an appropriate app.

Jails sell TVs? That's wild! Anyway, yeah, a universal remote is your best bet, just check the compatibility first!

I gotta say, your backstory had me laughing! 😂 But seriously, just grab any universal remote—it’ll come with codes to set it up for both devices easily.
