I'm thinking about installing Linux on a laptop-transformer and I'm wondering which distro or desktop environment would handle touchscreen support the best. Currently, I use Linux Mint with Cinnamon on my home PC, but I'm open to trying something new!

I've had good luck with KDE, but be aware that configuration for touchscreen gestures can be a bit limited. Most settings are focused on edge swipe gestures with Wayland, so if you want advanced gestures, you might need a third-party app.

How do you go about configuring those gestures? It seems the edge swipe options are the only ones available.

In my experience, Gnome has the best touchscreen support, closely followed by KDE Plasma. Both DEs have really improved their touchscreen interfaces, making them user-friendly.
