I've been using Ubuntu for about a month, but I'm not really enjoying it. As a complete newbie to Linux, I'm curious if anyone has suggestions for other distributions that might be a better fit. I'm also looking to get into cybersecurity, and I've heard mixed things about Arch Linux. I thought I'd reach out here for some advice!

It's hard to recommend something without knowing what you dislike about Ubuntu. If it's the UI not being Windows-like enough, Linux Mint or Kubuntu might be worth a shot. But if you're trying to get away from that, you might want to explore different desktop environments or even different distros like Debian with a more user-friendly interface.

I get that! Sometimes breaking away from Windows can be tough. I recently had a mishap with my SSD too, and it opened a door to try new options. Now I'm excited to dive in!

If you're looking for a beginner-friendly option, Linux Mint is a great start. Pop!_OS and Fedora are also solid choices that many new users find helpful.
