I'm looking for advice on which Linux distribution to install on my Lenovo Flex 5G, which used to run Windows 11. After struggling to save my OS, I'm ready for a fresh install and want to explore Linux. Since this laptop is Arm64 architecture, I need suggestions for a lightweight, fast, and customizable distro that also supports mobile networking, as I use that feature a lot for schoolwork and general web browsing. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Check out the migration page on the wiki for some tips. Using a stable distro like Ubuntu or Fedora would be your best bet since they have strong communities and support, especially if you need drivers for your laptop. Make sure to get the latest Linux kernel for the best performance!

Hey! I haven’t installed Linux on an Arm laptop myself, but I recently came across a post that mentions Debian for Arm. It sounds pretty viable for newer laptops like yours. Would love to hear how it goes for you!

I got mine in 2020, and it's wild how few online resources there are for it! Love the battery life though. The compatibility can be tricky with Arm64, but I’ll definitely check out that Debian link!

KDE environments are super customizable! While Kubuntu is popular, I’m not sure if they have an Arm64 version. You might also want to explore Fedora KDE as it could offer what you’re looking for, just make sure it fits your school usage policies. Keep digging, you’ve got lots of options!

Haha, it’s my personal computer, but I’ve heard good things about Fedora KDE. Just trying to weigh my options!
