What Linux Distro Works Best with NVIDIA GTX 660 Drivers?

I'm planning to switch back from Windows 11 to Linux and I'm looking for a reliable distribution that supports my NVIDIA GTX 660 with the 470-series drivers. I previously tried Arch Linux with GNOME, but it didn't work out well due to instability. I'm particularly interested in recommendations for a Linux distro that will allow me to play games like Hearts of Iron IV without driver issues. Any suggestions?

For NVIDIA cards, it's best to stick with X11 rather than Wayland, especially if you're using the 470-series drivers. NVIDIA only improved their Wayland support in the driver versions after 495, so definitely go with X11 for a more stable experience.

You might want to avoid Arch for now and consider a more user-friendly distro like Linux Mint. It’s pretty stable and has good driver support. Also, be mindful of driver tweaks that could enhance performance, especially if you're gaming. Good luck!

Thanks for the tip! I'll check out Linux Mint. I was worried about performance for gaming.
