I'm deciding between the Asus Prime B760M-A and the Gigabyte B760M DS3H for my Intel Core i5-12400F setup. They're both priced around $110, and I want to make sure I have a motherboard that can handle long gaming sessions without any issues. I've seen a lot of mixed opinions about which one is better, but mostly it seems like people lean toward the DS3H. I just want to be completely sure about my choice!

Just to echo what others have said, any decent board will do for the 12400F. Just keep an eye on the I/O capabilities and how many PCIe slots you might need. This CPU won’t let you overclock, but it supports enough PCIe lanes for most setups.
Both boards are solid, but if I had to choose, I would recommend the Asus one. It generally has better features and build quality than the Gigabyte if they're both priced the same.
Honestly, you can go with just about any motherboard as long as it isn't an H610 or the ASRock B660M-HDV. The 12400F isn't a power-hungry processor, so it should work well with most boards designed for it. Just make sure it aligns with your future upgrade plans!
Yeah, I agree! It’s also good to consider the long-term, so if you plan to upgrade in the future, stick with something that has a better chipset.
Exactly! Just ensure that the motherboard has the features you need without going overboard on specs you won't use.
