Hey everyone! I'm an author with a passion for creating detailed information about my book worlds, but I've struggled to find an app that meets my needs. After multiple attempts at using folders and Word documents, I've decided to explore programming to build something tailored to my requirements. I'm thinking of either a website or an app that works on both my PC and Android phone. What I envision is a system with many categorized folders (like plants, cities, spells, laws, creatures, etc.) where I can have editable profiles for each item. Since I have no programming experience, I'd love to know if this is feasible for a beginner and which programming language would be best to learn. Any help or suggestions for existing apps are also welcome! Thanks in advance!

You might want to check out markdown tools like Obsidian. It doesn’t have everything you’re looking for, but it's good for organizing notes and it’s accessible on different devices through tools like Syncthing.
Have you looked into Notion? It can mimic app functionality and even lets you create wikis with tons of templates. Just be aware that creating your custom app will require a solid idea of what you want it to do, which can be a challenge for a beginner.
Thanks, I’ll definitely look into Notion! I’ve heard it’s not as popular in Germany, so I appreciate the suggestion!
