I just learned that my pay rise as a DevOps Engineer in London is only 3%, which is significantly less than what I was expecting. I'm curious to know how much of a salary increase others have received this year. If you're willing to share, could you also tell me what your current salary and location are?

I recently got offered a new job that pays £20k more than my last position, so I guess change is good! Pay increases are usually disappointing unless you're willing to switch companies.
I got a disappointing 2.5% raise along with a small bonus, and I was rated as 'exceeds expectations.' I just expected more given my performance, so I feel pretty let down by that.
Something similar happened to me, but I leveraged a competing job offer and ended up with a 12% raise instead.
In the UK, raises are quite pathetic considering the cost of living. A 3% increase is often just a way to keep up with inflation. I think a lot of us need to ask for better opportunities or look elsewhere for a salary that truly reflects our worth.
Honestly, some people I know didn't get any raises at all! It's brutal out there, but if you're really happy at your company, sometimes that can make the pay less of a deal. Just keep in mind your market value in case you decide to look elsewhere.
Yeah, same here! I've stuck around for years without a raise, but I can't complain much because the job's easy-going.
Honestly, for better raises, moving companies seems to be the best bet. I've fluctuated a lot over the years, but typically raises are between 3% and 6%. It's not great, but at least I haven’t been laid off, which seems to be common now.
For real! Many people are struggling to find jobs right now, so we need to appreciate our current positions.

Exactly! Sometimes you just have to hop around to get the pay that matches your skills.
