What Should I Ask Web Developers Before Finalizing a Contract?

I'm currently in talks with a few developers to create a non-ecommerce website. I need some essential features including live chat, a calendar for appointments, contact forms, and WhatsApp integration. Most developers are including 1 year of hosting in their proposal, but after that, I would need to pay around $150 to $200 per year. As someone who's new to this whole process, I realize that the details matter a lot. Could anyone suggest specific questions I should ask to avoid any surprises later? I'm not sure what to inquire about regarding design, delivery, plugins, hosting, and email domain setup. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Before signing any contract, make sure to ask where your website will be hosted and what technology stack they plan to use. The last thing you want is to find out you're on a server that can't handle your site's needs. It's crucial to know the specifications to avoid performance issues down the line.
