I'm looking for advice on what to charge for my web development projects in 2026. Here are a couple of examples of the sites I've created:

1. [SoinBeautéRosa](https://soinbeauterosa.com) - Took about 25 hours to complete and includes a CMS (Sanity) for client content management.
2. [Lavalex Car Wash](https://lavalex-carwash.vercel.app) - A fully static site that took around 13 hours.

I use Next.js and Tailwind CSS for my projects, with GitHub Copilot to help speed up development, and I host the sites on the Vercel Free tier.

My target clients are mostly small businesses in Canada, and I'm trying to determine a reasonable price range for both the initial build and ongoing maintenance or hosting. Any tips from those who work in web development would be greatly appreciated!

I’d say around $1000 for those kinds of websites. It’s a solid price that reflects the work put in without undervaluing your skills.

How about $150 for the full project? Just curious, is that your rate for the entire site or hourly?

Building static websites has become easier, but don’t undervalue your work! It’s worth looking into local rates since they can vary a lot. Good luck!

I’d go with Treefiddy, just for kicks. But seriously, consider what your clients can really spend and how much value you bring.

Some folks say you could get by with just $10 these days since AI tools can really speed things up. But remember, most small business owners don't know anything about AI!

In the US, I charge about $100 an hour, which I’d apply to those sites too. For something like the Car Wash site, it might only take an hour or two tops.
