I'm planning to build a new PC but I'm struggling to find reliable resources that focus on hardware compatibility with Linux. I'm not looking for a top-notch gaming rig; I just need a system that I can keep updating and using for a while. Any guidance on this would be greatly appreciated!

Compatibility can sometimes depend on the Linux kernel version you're using. For example, newer hardware can have issues if the kernel doesn't fully support it yet. Make sure to choose a distribution like Linux Mint for stability or maybe Arch for the latest features, depending on your comfort level.

I'd recommend going with an AMD GPU and Intel network adapters. Those choices seem to make things a lot smoother on Linux.

From my experience, most current hardware has good Linux support. For the best performance, you might want to lean towards AMD graphics instead of Nvidia. Enjoy building your PC!

Thanks for the tip! I'll definitely consider going with AMD.

Most popular hardware works well with Linux, so you shouldn't face many compatibility issues. Just keep in mind what tasks you're aiming to accomplish with your PC.
