I recently replaced my Ryzen 7 3700x with a Ryzen 7 5800x. Is there anything specific I need to do to ensure everything is working correctly after this upgrade?

First off, did you remember to update your motherboard's BIOS before swapping in the new CPU? That's a crucial step!

Yes, my BIOS is up to date.

Make sure XMP is enabled in your BIOS settings. Sometimes, after a BIOS update, it might turn off. If you have a DDR4 3200 RAM kit, for example, XMP needs to be on to achieve its full speed, otherwise, it'll run at a lower speed.

I made that mistake before and my FPS suffered. I have 4 8GB RAM sticks at 3200, so I activated the XMP profile 1 and it’s definitely been better. If I try to activate profile 2, will my PC get an even bigger boost?
