Hey everyone! It's been years since I used Ubuntu, and after trying out a few different distributions, I've decided to come back to it. I'm still pretty new to Linux, so I'm looking for some guidance. What's the first thing you usually do after a fresh install? Are there specific tweaks, apps, or settings you recommend? Also, do you have any tips that you wish you had known earlier when starting out with Ubuntu? I'm really excited to learn from your experiences—thanks in advance! 🙂

I must say, posting on forums is a good way to get help, but you might want to ask more precise questions. If you get stuck, feel free to open another thread for specific issues you face!
Honestly, after a fresh install, the first thing I do is run `sudo apt update`. It’s important to make sure your system is up to date right off the bat. Sometimes, things get patched right after the release!
If you’re going to use Ubuntu for things like virtualization, I recommend installing libvirt. It makes managing virtual machines a lot easier! And don't worry if you're still learning—it gets better with practice!
Yeah, for sure! I’ll keep that in mind if I hit any snags. Just trying to gather all the basics first!
