What Should I Do If My Laptop’s ‘S’ Key Is Acting Up?

I'm having a frustrating issue with my laptop's 'S' key. Sometimes it works perfectly, but sometimes it doesn't respond at all. When it does work, it will handle lowercase 's' fine but fails to register when I use the Shift key for an uppercase 'S', although the Caps Lock functions correctly. Occasionally, it even types two 's' characters instead of one. I've tried cleaning the key, reinstalling drivers, and turning off sticky and filter keys, but nothing seems to help. I'm looking for any advice on how to fix this issue or if there's any other troubleshooting I can try.

You might want to test with a different keyboard to see if the problem persists. If it works fine with another keyboard, then it's likely a hardware issue with your laptop.

I don’t have another keyboard to try, and it’s a laptop. What should I do?
