I'm considering upgrading my PC, but I'm not sure what to prioritize. Here's my current setup:
- CPU: R7 7800x3d
- Cooler: Deepcool LE360 V2 liquid CPU cooler
- Motherboard: MSI B650 Gaming Plus WiFi
- GPU: Zotac 5070ti AMP Extreme Infinity
- RAM: Corsair Vengeance 32GB 6400m/t CL32
- Power Supply: Deepcool PN750M
- Storage: Kingston M.2 1TB and Lexar M.2 1TB
I play games at 1440p on max settings and aim for stable 144fps. While I know my setup is capable, I'm not achieving this consistently across all games. I'm contemplating upgrading my CPU to the R7 9850x3d, but I'm also aware that at 1440p, the GPU plays a significant role. Upgrading my GPU to a 5080 is another option, but I might wait for the newer super GPUs for better performance value. Any advice?

If I were you, I'd consider waiting a bit for next-gen GPUs. The 5080 isn't a huge upgrade over what you already have, and the CPU you have is excellent. It might be smart to see how the new models perform before making a leap now.
Your system is quite balanced. The 7800X3D is top-notch and the 5070ti is solid too. Instead of upgrading your CPU or GPU now, think about getting an OLED monitor. That could elevate your gaming experience way more than a minor upgrade would!
That's actually a great idea! I've been eyeing new monitors too. What’s your budget for that?
I’d say the only reasonable upgrades now might be for the future. Upgrading to the 5090 might give you a solid performance boost, but it comes with a hefty price tag. For now, maybe just focus on other enhancement options for your setup!
Exactly! I’m more interested in how to improve my setup overall, not just chasing numbers.
Your PC is great as it is. If you're having fun and satisfied with your gaming, why stress about upgrades? Just enjoy your current build!
Absolutely! I'm really grateful for my system, just had a phase of wanting more.

Yeah, waiting seems wise. I want value for my money, especially with all the hype about the supers.
