I'm planning an upgrade to an AM4 setup and I'm trying to decide between the Ryzen 7 5700X and the Ryzen 7 5700G, as they are both the same price. The 5700X supports PCIe 4.0, while the 5700G has integrated graphics that can manage a second monitor, which means my GPU would only need to drive one monitor. Would the second monitor being connected to the CPU affect gaming performance significantly? Also, is the Prime B550M-A WiFi II motherboard sufficient for either of these CPUs?

Honestly, I'd go for the 5700X. Even though the 5700G can handle that second monitor, the 5700X has more cache and generally performs better in gaming than the 5700G, which is similar to older 3000 series CPUs.

But wouldn't the second monitor being on the 5700G make the overall system less stressed? I feel like that could balance things out for gaming.
