I'm thinking about building a new PC myself, but I'm a bit nervous about the actual assembly part. Although I know I can order the parts and check for compatibility with tools like PCPartPicker, I'm worried about messing things up since I'm not the best with hands-on tasks. I've done some quick Googling but still have a lot of questions. What should I be aware of before I start putting it all together?

I followed the LTT PC build guide and built my PC outside the case first, just to check it booted up properly. Using a metal screwdriver to bridge the start pins on the motherboard worked like a charm! It's way easier to troubleshoot when everything isn't crammed in the case. Just make sure you’re careful with sensitive parts like the CPU, RAM, and GPU during assembly.
Totally agree! Especially with RAM; make sure it's seated properly, as there’s a correct orientation. When putting in a large GPU, handle it gently to avoid damaging the PCB. I also flipped the case on its side for more room during assembly, which helped a lot!
