Hey everyone! I've got about 60 days left before college kicks off, and I'm thinking it would be great to learn some coding during this time. Which programming language would be the best to start with to benefit me in college, especially since I live in India? Also, I'd really appreciate any links to free resources to help me get started!

Before I started my grad program, I focused on Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA), read "Structure and Interpretation of Computer Programs" (SICP), and took some courses like nand2tetris and "Computer Systems: A Programmer's Perspective" (CS:APP). I’d recommend diving into DSA—it really helps!
Honestly, take it easy! Two months isn't a lot of time, and remember, college will reshape your understanding of what hard work really is. Enjoy this break!
First off, see if you can find out which programming classes you'll be taking in college. If you know that, you can get a head start! If not, consider starting with a language that teaches you the fundamentals, like C. Once you're comfortable with that, you can move on to C++ or focus on web development basics like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript if building software interests you. A solid grasp of these will put you ahead in your first year. Let me know if you want tutoring, too!

Thanks for the tips! I'll definitely look into C.
