I'm planning to sell my current PC to a friend after wiping it clean and doing a fresh build. I'm keeping the 1TB boot SSD (C: drive) but removing the second SSD (D: drive) where I store most of my games and movies. Aside from the typical stuff like pictures and documents, is there anything else I should consider transferring from the C: drive before the sale?

Definitely make sure to check for any installed programs or software that you might want to keep! Sometimes there are settings and configurations that could be useful for your new build. As for the Windows key, yes, it usually ties to the motherboard. If you just wipe the drive, your friend will still have a functioning OS unless you do something more extensive with the wipe.
It's smart to think about data recovery methods when wiping your PC. A simple wipe might not be enough if you're concerned. Since you're selling to a friend and don’t have sensitive data, it might not be a big issue, but just double-check what you’re leaving behind! You could also think about saving any specialized software that you use regularly.
